We’re working on tons of tools to share with you – really helpful things that you can put to use in your planning, tracking, saving and earning journey.
For now, though, we (of course) have a few things that can help you out. These money-making and money-saving resources are either links to our own content or they’re links to someone else’s free content. If there’s an affiliate link, it will be noted as such.
UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2014
We have an Affiliate relationship with Prosper. Here’s their ad – you can learn more about their personal loans by clicking on it.
Here goes:
Got a growing business?
There are marketing mistakes that you should avoid, and we walk you through 6 of them in this book, The Six Biggest Marketing Mistakes. Available on Amazon, it’s free to Prime members.
Need some motivation?
Dave wrote a book a couple years back called 20 Minute Motivation. You can get that one on Amazon as well.
A little more advanced help…
You can get a nifty combination of advanced keyword marketing help from a book called SEO Samurai. (Guess where you can find that? Amazon.)
A couple notes about Amazon: we’re in Illinois, where we can’t make money off of Amazon affiliate links. It’s a long, convoluted story – and these are OUR books so we wouldn’t be an affiliate for these anyway. However, if we tell you about a book you can find on Amazon and it’s someone else’s book, there’s really nothing in it for us.

As mentioned previously, Dave is Managing Principal at Area 224, a Chicago-area marketing, communications and brand strategy firm. There’s a TON of marketing, communications, brand strategy and (gasp) social media information on that site.
One thing that keeps us motivated on this site is a desire to stay away from the “Social Media Gurus.” So we’re not going to start beating the drum of marketing people who are in the social media world and have a blog and do consulting. You can find that stuff anywhere else on the internet.
We’ve mentioned Pat Flynn, the Smart Passive Income guy. Check out his site, but don’t be intimidated by the size of his paychecks. He’s very approachable.
There’s a really good guy named Mark Januszewski, and he’s The World’s Laziest Networker. He’s more geared toward Network Marketing types, but he’s into sharing big time.
We like the blog of our friend Jason Konopinski, a writer for hire. He’s been doing the freelance thing for several years, and you can see Jason’s Blog at this link.
New Resource we just added 11/21/14: A frugal shopping guide from ShopSleuth.
We’ll of course add more and more resources as the days go by. (Hey, we’re only a couple weeks into this launch – we’re still learning, too!)
